Possibilities...

We've done it. We've found a house and are in the process of making the purchase. We must have looked at about 25-30 houses or properties. Right in the middle we came upon one that we liked, but we just kept on looking. However, everything we saw afterward simply reassured us that this would be the one. We will sign all the papers today and then, as foreigners of course, we will have to wait for it to be approved. But by December the house should be ours. Praise the Lord!

The house is in Nagycsepely, a small town 12 kilometers south of Lake Balaton, in the southwest part of Hungary. It is a small, quiet town. Though not on the lake, Nagycsepely is located in between Balatonszemes, where the church is with which we will be partnering, and Balatonfoldvar, where they would like to plant a church.

The house is about 20 years old. Very well built, though never completely finished. We will do a couple of things to it right away (like put in heating and kitchen cabinets) and then slowly finish and decorate the rooms as we have time and money. It has a large yard. (The property is 4040 m2.) Joska is looking forward to gardening. I'm just wondering with our schedule how I will manage to keep the whole house clean. :)

Please continue to pray for us as we go forward with this purchase. We are very excited, but also a bit nervous. So far the process has gone quite smoothly, agreeing with the sellers, getting together the money for the purchase, finding a good lawyer and making the arrangements. We feel that God is pleased with our decision. So, please pray that the approval will come back quickly in order for us to get the heating system in and be able to move our things in before we leave for furlough at Christmas.
